Back in the olden days when I first started writing my Smart Shopping Montreal book, each of the major department stores had a clearance store. There was one for Eaton’s (I still have my washer and dryer that I bought there), the Baie and Sears. Then there was none.
Finally Sears re-opened one up in Carre Decarie and it seems to be hanging in there. You know their reputation for good service, and now you can buy their large appliances (fridges, stoves, dishwashers, washers, dryers) at greatly reduced prices. Then you can peruse the loungers, sofas, end tables, exercise bikes, chairs and TV’s.
