NOVA West Island (formerly VON) is a charitable foundation that offers home palliative care and cancer support groups and runs 2 adult day centers for the elderly, all without government funding.
On Wednesday evening, 3 stores in Pointe Claire Village will be open for holiday shopping. That night 20% of everything they sell will go to support this terrific organization. Perfect gift possibilities could be jewelry, home decor, food and children’s books.
The village is a delight to shop in, especially during the holiday season, as it still has the old-timey feel.

After this night of shopping, you can still go buy at one of Nova’s 3 stores which help raise money for their great cause. You can scoop up second-hand clothing for the family nicely hung on racks, or look for shoes, purses and hats. “Green” shopping by recycling is a planet saving idea: there’s home knick-knacks, china and glassware.
